During Black Legacy Month this February, we aim to connect our past to our present and, ultimately, create a foundation for our future. We need your help.
SQUAD (Students' Quest for Unity in the African Diaspora) is a popular five-day, student-led pre-orientation program that helps incoming students to foster community, celebrate cultural identity and prepare students for life at Tufts.
There is no cost to participate in SQUAD. Due to recent budget constraints, we’re facing limits in how many students we can serve. In order to maintain SQUAD and enable a free pre-orientation experience, we need your support.

The Africana Center was founded in 1969 in response to student activism. Serving as a vital gathering space for Tufts University students and community members, the Center encourages learning, shared experiences, mutual support, and the celebration of diverse cultures.
