The goal is to raise at least $3650 to fund 10 Nurture Kits for low-income expectant birthers and families. By sponsoring a Nurture Kit you will help parents and babies in need by helping to curb some of the financial costs of having a healthy child.
Nurture Kits are postpartem resources and provides necessary supplies to low-income parents who may not otherwise be able to afford them. Providing items like a breast pump, nipple cream, portable changing pad, and more.
Pregnant but not equal. Did you know?
- One in three US families cannot afford diapers and the price of baby formula and other items continue to increase.
- The average price of diapers has increased 14% in a year on top of diaper taxing.
- The pandemic only exacerbated the need for diapers and diaper banks have had to increase distribution to keep up with the need.
Thank you in advance for your support and helping to provide these essential child care items to families in need.
Nurture Kits: A MOTHER Lab Initiative is a project led by the Community Engagement, Advocacy and Policy committee of the MOTHER Lab and Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice, Department of Public Health and Community Medicine.
