Tufts Timmy Global Health Service Trip

Tufts Timmy Global Health works to improve access to primary care specifically within the areas of nutrition, water, sanitation, and maternal and child health within our target communities, aligned with Timmy Global Health international partners and communities. 

We are planning to go on our first service trip after the Covid-19 pandemic to the Mao, Dominican Republic in January. Last year, our service trip to Guatemala had to be canceled due to the high cost of the service trip. Your support would enable all students to be able to go on our inaugural service trip, regardless of cost.

We will be helping out in Timmy's partnered clinic in Mao, Dominican Republic. We will be assisting by taking patients vitals, organizing medications, signing patients in, directing patients around the clinic, etc. We will also be educating ourselves on health issues that affect residents of the Mao community. We are serving Spanish speaking and Creole speaking patients.

We are so excited for our first service trip. Your support will help Tufts low and middle income students take advantage of this amazing learning opportunity. Help us maintain our cause for health equity by covering the service trip travel costs for first-generation low and middle income students. Every dollar helps alleviate our costs and make it possible for all of us to go on this service trip.
