Tufts Emergency Medical Services (TEMS), a student-run ambulance service, is once again launching the Tufts Emergency Care Course (TECC) Scholarship. This scholarship will help cover the laboratory fees for the Emergency Care course at Tufts.
The Emergency Care course at Tufts is a state-approved course in prehospital emergency care. Successful completion allows students to sit for the Massachusetts state certifying examination for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Your donation will make EMT certification more accessible to Tufts students and open opportunities for students to gain invaluable medical experience serving their community. Your donation will be provided as prize to the student(s) to help offset the laboratory fee charged in addition to normal tuition associated with the Emergency Care Course.
The funds you helped us raise last year was able to cover one student's entire laboratory fee! We are so thankful that so many people were able to contribute and help improve accessibility to the class! This year, we hope to expand the scholarship to fund multiple students, so the question of whether a student can afford to take the class is not a problem.
