The Fletcher School is proud to host its 8th annual Conference on Gender and International Affairs, an entirely student-run conference that has established itself as a meeting of academics, practitioners, and community leaders to continue the tradition of advocating for the integration of gender analyses into our work at Fletcher and beyond.
After two years of significant adaptive needs through the ongoing COVID pandemic, we are excited to return to a robust in-person format, while continuing to center care and accessibility for all attendees and participants. This year’s theme, Challenging for Change: Amplifying Voices Into Action, seeks to acknowledge a transformational lens to today’s current events and pressing questions, and centers on how optimism and positivity can be wielded as a formidable tool to bring about change and action. The 8th Annual Conference on Gender and International Affairs is made possible by the contributions from supportive partners like you.
The Conference seeks to create an environment where participants will have the opportunity to draw from collaborative discussions throughout the event in order to foster progressive change in their work following the Conference. Through this open dialogue, the Conference also endeavors to emphasize the necessity of intersectionality in understanding the gendered dimensions of politics and international affairs. Ultimately, we intend for participants and audience members to leave the Conference with a more nuanced understanding of intersectional gender analysis and tools to act as effective advocates for gender sensitivity within their respective fields of work.
We are grateful for your support as we put on a conference that, along with panels and workshops, will feature networking opportunities to allow attendees to connect with tangible professional opportunities in the workforce, as well as spaces to ensure attendees can practice self-care.
Thank you,
